Lenovo India appoints Ranbir Kapoor as Brand Ambassador

Focuses on building brand preference with Youth
New Delhi : Lenovo, India’s No. 1 PC vendor (according to the latest IDC/Asia Pacific Tracker Q1 CY 2012), has appointed Ranbir Kapoor as its official brand ambassador. Ranbir will endorse Lenovo’s range of products that are high on both style and performance. The announcement is in tandem with Lenovo’s focus on becoming the preferred brand for the youth of India.

Lenovo’s decision to sign on Ranbir as its brand ambassador comes shortly after it was announced the No 1 PC vendor in India (by IDC) and the largest exclusive PC retailer in the country.  

Speaking on the occasion, Shailendra Katyal, Director- Marketing, Lenovo India said, “We want to play aggressively in the consumer space and become the most preferred PC brand among the Youth. Lenovo will launch a set of TV commercials starring the actor. The campaign will be on air between June 8 – 12, 2012.
