Bangalore : Microsoft India Global Technical Support Center (GTSC) hosted the second edition of Architects of Excellence (ACE) Awards that took place on July 4, 2012, to felicitate the star performers in the company. The function was held at Taj Vivanta, Yeshwantpur and was attended by around 900 people which included the employees and specially invited families of the award winners.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Thomas Payyapilli, Senior Director, Microsoft India GTSC, said, “We celebrating the ACE awards twice every year. We believe in appreciating and recognizing the exemplary performance of our employees and also in thanking their families for their support. I am always particularly excited with the number of nominations submitted by peers, this to me is a great example of people believing and practicing a culture of appreciation at the workplace. THE ACE awards program identifies individuals and teams who have gone the extra mile and continued to excel.”
There were seven different award categories which included the Star Performer, Star Lead, Star Escalation, Star Manager, Star Team, Star Rookie and the MS Values awards.
The winners were selected based on 6 parameters namely team collaboration, customer satisfaction, cross team collaboration, going the extra mile, demonstration of Microsoft values and earning lifetime loyalty. There is a rigid selection process, where every nomination submitted goes through a minimum of two rounds of scrub before final selections are made.
